Untitled #2
by Gregory Wilde  /  poetry  /  24 Jan 2009

He built his home
Made of stone and time,
The river lies just outside
His rose garden.
He married a school teacher
Then she died of cancer,
He built another garden
Called it Edith.
Some days he walks the fields
Lakes and mountain ranges,
But he is alone,
Always alone.
