 | From the Fragments
by Gregory Wilde  /  poetry  /  1 Oct 2007
Oh, God, help me stand. I've fallen hard Through glass and burnt sand. You've helped me then,
Oh, God, will you help me again? Through the grit and plagues, Will you help me stand, All the way to the promised land?
How I've doubted it all along, But you've helped me stand, Although you're nowhere to be found. I try to remember your warm hands,
Oh, God, help me live. It's all or nothing now, Everything I've known, Is dust and forlorn. Oh, God, if I stop believing again, Don't give up in me, please.
